Hi guys, Sorry if this is a stupid question, or if it doesn't belong here, though i can't see where else i could put it.. Basically i know someone whos fetching a Wii back from Tenerife, will this be capable of playing UK PAL games, or will it play games from Tenerife only? i'm not too sure of their region. Ive had a good search online, but have found the best part of nothing... If it does happen to be a different region to PAL, and UK games will not work, could someone please tell me what region the console will be in? Cheers.
Tenerife is part of the Canary Islands and although off the coast of Afrika is actually under Spanish governship as it is theirs. Therefore it is PAL / European. It's also standard 2-pin 220v, so you'll want a Euro-adapter.
Canary Islands are a part from Spain (I'm spanish). Is PAL territory. You haven't problems to run any pal game. Is correct all that is said by Parris. The plug are different here than uk.
Excellent guys, many thanks for getting back to me on this, i thought the system might be PAL, but i wasn't sure, i checked all over the net but seemed unable to find anything related to this. We'll probably just swap the plug for a 3 pin UK plug when he brings it back, i knew it was a 220v system as i did manage to find that one out on google What can i say one out of two aint bad right? haha. Thanks again guys, its appreciated. EDIT: Sorry guys also forgot to ask, i think this should work fine, but i wanted to double check first... Can anyone tell me if JAP import wii controllers will work fine on UK / other country machines? I assume there will be no issue with this, and ive seen them for sale on eBay and else where a few quid less than the adverage UK price. More so as they are sold out everywhere, it seems this is the only option right now. Cheers.
