Well it's nice to see they are giving us VGA which is good enough for me !! Anyone who's seen a Dreamcast running through VGA will agree I'm sure. I just hope the new Aquas I'm planing to by will have a VGA input. Yakumo
If it's a VGA then I wouldnt use a plasma/LCD yakumo, the good ol'CRTs scales lower resolutions way better than flat screens. For a flat screen I would ratter use component. Dual SDs slots sucks anyways, even when SD prices are pretty low I still prefer an HDD.
I have my x-box 360 and dreamcast and pc on Samsung HDTV LCD and I love Dual SDs slots sucks anyways, even when SD prices are pretty low I still prefer an HDD but 8gb Dual SDs slots just for 8bit to 16bit 64 bit consola and arcade games is good
You got them in a VGA-box array? cuz that's different than just AV/component them. I could get the Wii, a dual remote-nunchaku array and a 160GB HDD for the price of one single 8GB SD, and I would have some change too.
SD cards aren't that expenisve. I bought two Panasonic branded 512MB cards for 10'000 yen a month or so ago. If I get a Wii I could use one of them to store a few 100 classic games. Yakumo
He said an 8GB card, which btw I dont know if exists... Back with the topic, is obvious the remote is a pack-in, but what about the analog? it comes with the console or is sold separately?
i hope that means there will be some sort of internal storage. a 10+ gig microdrive would be a gift from god.
Can we get a confirmed source on this? I mean some of it's known, but I can't find anything official on the CPU specs.
 ***k the rest. I much prefer my xbox360 on vga as well. Ummm... No. Just DVD playback (and nobody is sure if that is even still there.
So the Wii discs are going to be slightly larger than the usual 8cm cube discs? That's interesting. I didn't even know the Wii was going to have DVD playback....I thought it was just going to be a game machine. Anyway, the VGA and SD slots are fantastic news. Can I buy one yet? lol.
Not slightly, the Wii discs will be on standard 12cm discs like Playstation, DreamCast, Xbox, Xbox 360, DVD movies, audio cds. It will read atleast DVD wave length discs, CD-ROM compatibility is unknown. GameCube for instance wasn't cd-rom compatible or dual layer compatible.
Isn't the fact that Nintendo is using a standard medium (e.g. 12cm disks) the first sign of the apocolypse? Also, if I recall correctly, the DVD playback was supposed to be optional. Probably something along the lines of an update disk with DVD drivers which are written to the flash memory.
"He said an 8GB card, which btw I dont know if exists... Back with the topic, is obvious the remote is a pack-in, but what about the analog? it comes with the console or is sold separately?" The analog/nunchuck should come standard with the remote. If Super Mario Galaxy and Zelda TP mandated the analog/nunchuck use, then it MUST be included. So that means two remote + nunchuck pairs with each Wii console for the win, I see.
I doubt they'll include 2 - no console has come with 2 controllers since the first editions of the PS1 I believe. I agree with you that the nunchuck + wiimote will be included, hopefully also the retro controller, since without it the virtual console is useless without a cube controller for anything above the NES
CF cards are 1000 bucks and above, and since SD costs pretty much the same that what it may be priced when it's released. As I said before, for that money I could get a Wii with dual remote-nunchucks, and even a premium X360 with some games.
