   Yeah yeah, hardcore games. Hey check out or new crap to make you move your ass. Non Games / Casual gamers rule.
Lets see 1. Lots of market number twisting like all PR people do 2. Wii Zapper 3. Mario Kart Wii Online (with accessory) 4. Metroid 3 Something I will slightly admit, I think Wii Fit is stupid as hell. Yet that new controller could be vital to the game i'm working on (esentualy making it above and beyond the experience on other consoles).
I caught it from the end of that part too, Wii fit looks interesting. Lots of overweight middle class women might be talked into buying a games console. Then again it did look quite fun, especially rolling the little ball around and placing it in the hole. Nintendo really have got this multimedia interactive crossover shit down but they really need to spend more time on the fucking games!
It was better than the microsoft press conferance At least they had something we didnt already know about
I give nintendo huge credit for that actualy. Microsoft's was a huge snooze fest. Yet the thing is, We all know sony has alot riding on this e3 and if they do anything near as big as they did for CES, Ps3 sales will could seriously start going up among hardcore gamers.
So Nintendo machines are no longer Kiddy machines, they are WOMEN machines. Fair enough. Wii Fit actually makes me want to buy one though. Same kind of appeal as Brain Training but for the body. Brain Training sold the DS to me.
We are all waiting with bated breath for the ps3 conference, I think deep down a lot of us know Sony can pull their finger out of their arses even if it`s taking awhile. This is so highly anticipated however it could end up not measuring up to our expectations. Then again anything is better than the crap thats out for the system right now.
Lets put it this way, i`d never stick to any kind of plan with it, but i would play the football part and some of the other mini games. You`re not gonna be able to run a marathon from training on it but getting people moving who usually wouldnt is a good thing.
Well truth be told. I am a gamer, I want VIDEO GAMES not exersize machines. Personaly I think the new periphial could actualy lead to some wicked Wii games yet insted of nintendo marketing it as an extension to gaming like they did the wii remote, they insted desided to market it as an extension to extersizing or moving around. It's really just going against the grain as to what video games are ment to be, GAMES! I know nintendo is not first here. Some of us probably had the nes power pad when young (i know i did) but it still primarly centered around games (yes there was 1 exersize game for it). Fast forward to the ps2 & eyetoy which has something exactly like WiiFit yet still sony did not make it their primary focus and only gave it as an extra option.
I sense dry times ahead. Nintendo will have a decent amount of games these last two quarters, but 2008 is looking sort of grim. Truth be told, I think Nintendo tried a little TOO much on the casual approach. The aim is to have games for everyone, not alienate your existing fanbase by not revealing anything new.
They did reveal something new for the fanbase. Yet they acted like it was not a big thing. Mario Kart Online for Wii they did not act like it was a huge thing for the wii like they use to.
and the wii STILL doesn't have anything that interests me If I want Nights I'll get a used Saturn if I want unique and different games and new ways to play I'll fire up my DS. Come ON NINTENDO give me a reason to mow down soccer moms to get a wii.
Way too expensive and full of too many tossers. I work out, but this is a fun way to do it if I add it to the stuff I already do. I like the progression stuff. I agree with the opinion Nintendo is swinging a bit to far away from the typical gaming audience. Or perhaps they are just not providing enough content for that audience, I'm not sure. Another Mario and Mariokart would not be enough to satisfy me if I was a gamer and the Wii was my only system. That's for sure.
Meh, I'll have Brawl and Battalion Wars 2 to sate me, with the possibility of Galaxy if it stands the test. Third parties aren't looking incredibly hot, but that's their damn fault. Of course, I do understand the "we thought the Wii wasn't going to be a hit, lawl" mentality, but tough shit to them if they can't get on the bandwagon by this time. There will be no excuse for the majority of Wii games to not have online next year, though.
..been lookin over ninty's press site, and i just noticed Rygar for the wii, has this been known before?
It's a port of the PS2 version from over 9000 years ago. A slap in the face. The most we could hope for is a 'Ninja Gaiden' rechristening a la Xbox -> PS3, but I imagine it's just going to have Wii controls fitted in.. A slap in the face!
