I know, its been all over the message boards. However, I still don't understand the reason why. Many couples played 2-player grand prix and really used it to enjoy this type of video game together. I know its becoming more common today than before, but most couples don't like the same kind of games, let alone play a game, unlock stuff and finish it together. I know it has the online mode and all, but it seems like many people were blindsided by the omission of this established feature. More than a couple of magazines, strategy guides and even nintendo power advertised the feature before it was released, but then didn't include it. Which makes me think nintendo did it on purpose, but I just can't figure out what the reason is. My girlfriend is upset about it. Didn't nintendo do some focus group research on the modes they should offer? Does anybody know some possible reasons?
Maybe because the game is an all round half arsed effort they thought they wouldn't bother. You have to admit that Mario Kart on the Wii is pretty low in quality. It even looks basic compared to the arcade game by Namco which is what the Wii Mario Kart should have been. There's no reason why not since the Wii could easily handle it. Instead we got a plain looking watered down kiddy game Yakumo
Co-op grand prix is really the only reason I ever played Mario Kart, striving for gold in all the cups with a friend was fantastic. Double Dash excelled in this respect.
Double Dash was one of the best aswell. Right next to the DS version and SNES in my book. The Wii one seems like a big step back to me... :crying:
Hell, I just want the random button back. There's nothing like 'well, you pick a course. no, you pick a course! no, you! just pick one, damnit!' :banghead:
