    Hello everyone. Newbie here

I bought this from a local auction house on a gamble. I have not received it yet so I apologize for the photos. I didnt pay much for this thing which is why I decided to just go with it. I am almost certain this is some type of developer kit but I have no clue on its specs, what its worth and how much demand there is for these things. Any input you can give me would be great as I am fairly certain the place I bought this one at does have more of them. Thank you in advance for your time.

Yeah thats an XNA final test kit (atleast as far as I can tell).
http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/the-xna-kit-history.55872/ There is more information about them in this thread. I cant really give you a price range though but they are one of the more in demand XDK's because of their appearance and rarity.

Thank you for all the information thus far. It seems the version I have is the final version sent to developers. I think I did well. Only paid about $100 for it. I feel better now lol

PB I think that's the dark blue model, not green model. At least in the photos it looks like the dark blue model. Also this is a Test Kit XNA, not a Dev Kit. I'll let XS or someone in the recent loop tell prices. It's been years since I've bought or sold an XNA, but they used to be in $1k range. Condition is important on these. XNA's that sell for high prices generally are missing no pieces (since they are impossible to find).

$100 is an amazing deal for it.

Does anyone know what the standard HDD size is on these as the picture shows 96.44GB free and that seems a little low.

    Thanks!

Obviously its your opinion but if I were to clean up the casing a little bit and take some nice pictures, what would be a reasonable amount to ask? I am just interested in some type of ball park range.

I should point out that's $100 Canadian lol.

Its probably 120GB HDD and before you do anything backup the drive, might be something hidden away on it ;)

Very nice find I say! Like many have said it is indeed an XNA test kit but I will point out that it could either be an "EXPO" or a "Final". The difference being the "EXPO" has tribal writing on the side of the sidecar whereas the final does not. If it is the "EXPO" model you could get more for it in my opinion. Having the unit info sticker intact is very nice and collectors like seeing that. ASSET sticker being removed the front there isn't all that big of a deal but would have been a nice touch. All that being said 1k in my honest opinion wouldn't be that far off what you could get. It would depend on what a collector is looking for I think. Thanks for sharing and cool find!

More info about the different types of XNA kits can be seen here: http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/the-xna-kit-history.55872/

It's an internal Test kit given the demo decal on the side. It says "test" which is good, means no one has altered it. Empty which is unfortunate but typical. I'd say on a good day, $1000. Take nothing less than $750. You would bode well I be open to offers and trade when you have more time built with the community. Nice find.

Thanks! I have another unity that has 20 gigs of space taken so something is for sure on it. I am waiting for a power brick to see what hides inside the beast.

    Ooooh... please keep us informed.

Love it when people find builds on old dev hardware.

If only it were a later build of BF3... :(
