I don't understand the underlying reason for this. The PSP allegedly supports FLASH, yet is unable to stream videos in their flash format.This includes everything from YouTube to YouPorn. My question to you seasoned PSP owners and coders is a simple one. My question is "Why?"
I remember hearing there was one, but you'd have to restart the explorer every time you wanted to watch a new video. Its much less of a hassle to save the porn and convert it to PSP format.:lol: I actually went and bought a converter just for things like Youtube videos.
Well I don't want to store or convert or mod my console. I just want to use it as any normal browser would. IS that so much to ask, with all ther fancy RemotePlay, LocationFree, GPS navigation etc?
Probally due to the lack of RAM? Streaming a video takes allot of cpu power and ram, so for a psp to run the OS, browser and a video is to much. Altough it maybe work with the new psp?
yes, I was thinking that the new PSP, with 64 MB o' RAM should be able to stream stuff. Besides, can't the MStick be used for virtual memory already? :S
PSP supports an older version of flash. Stream video sites are very hard for consoles to handle. Wii barely can stream videos very well (ps3 holds up well tho). You can use this homebrew tool tho http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/-release-psptube-2008-02-28-94158.html
I think you need to try again on the Wii, mate. My Wii can stream anything on YouTube with no problems at all. The Wii or the PS3 can't stream Flash 8 mind you due to Adobe holding the codecs required from portable devices. I read an interview with Opra about why the Wii can't run Flash 8 and that's the reason they gave. In the future it will be able to though when adobe give out the SDK for it. Yakumo
oolooolol The PSP browser is just balls everytime I try and use it. It never plays the videos I download and is always out of memory. I don't have any patience though.
:lol: To be honest I used it for some anime series that I "Acquired". It took like 3 days to convert all my Digimon season 1 episodes to the right format though. And the temp folder itself was like 60 gigs!!!h: Good thing I had another HD hooked in just for the massive temp folder.
I don't have alot of issues with the wii streaming...hell i watched entire episodes of MST3K (hour long or so) on it.
I'm guessing they majorly fixed opera in the full release but in the early version it pause quite often in any site that had decent quality streams (youtube is shit quality streams).
You know if youw ant Porn on your PSP most Jporn UMDs are region Free ( most Video UMDs are regionlocked
Well, you've got to pay for a converter to PSP format that doesn't suck or is limited. But I agree, in this day and age I don't see why anyone pays for porn.
