Shit, if things continue like this then PSP and DS would have to look up for their cornholes...

    Check the video

Honestly is pretty cool, hope Nokia learned something of the Ngage...

    Here's a photo of the N93

Well while some bits looks nice its not exacly psp standard. Also its likely to be the N93 working flat out just for the gfx. Its not a playable game. Plus it has to run a phone on the background.

I told you guys, the first victim of cellphones were the PDAs, now they are going for the videogame handhelds.

And paulo, the N93 wasnt even designed for this job. Just think of the possibilities with a mobile GPU like the Nec MBX or the VRender...

lame and finger-aching controls on cellphones don't deserve such graphics. They make every game unplayable.

No phone is a true replacement for a PDA and no phone will be for a handheld cosole.

There are just people who have given up having the full functionality of a PDA and a handheld console but phones are far from perfect replacements.

Same goes for the nokia 6600 i had. Dint stop it from playing ngage games though...

The N93 has had to be given more power then the standard phone due to all its features e.g. 3.2mega pix camera

I'm not talking about "normal" phones like the low end you get for $100 in your grocery store. I meant thing like the Treo, the Motorola Q and the Nokia N63. All of them are equal or even superior in functionality to any PDA out there.

The thing is a smartphone is way cheaper than an equal PDA if you get it with a service plan. You can expect the same situation with gamephones.

Very impressive. I doubt that is ingame footage though, it probably just uses the engine.

    Nice bitch slapping action!

One of the bad things about mobile-phone gaming is the phone interface. It's far from ideal for gaming, which is why it will never take over dedicated handheld consoles IMO.

you can see the filipino influence on JKD in that footage actually. lol.
I liked it in as far as it was a Last Bronx type affair and nothing has come out of the sort since said game (which is my fave 3D beat 'em up evah) - also because for once the way it animates with relation to the hit detection seems spot on - something Tekken nor VF can get right.
mobile phones.. never had one probably never will

Hmmm do you mean the kali connection ? ;-) I know that connection, since that is where the teachnique hubud is from, yeah I have trained JKD about 2 years ago. So every time I see JKD moves, then I am like a little child :) anyway, I am going to bed :)

Having had a P800 from release a P910i and a Treo they are all lacking in the PDA side of things. Along with not being the best phones for various reasons.

They just are not a replacement for someone who really needs a decent PDA and Phone. They are great for most people who only need some of the functionality of each device.

I m perfectly satisfied with my do-it-all P800 from launch day in Europe (greece got it first) till now. I can manage FTP, do basic sufring on the net, emails, play old adventure PC games etc and make phone calls, plus it's something I always carry with me.

Btw, Symbian is much more "phone-friendly" than WindowsCE/Mobile

Yep but you cant say that there arent trade offs between having the P800 over a proper PDA.

I currently use a P910i and it does everything i need but sometimes it would be better to have a PDA and a separate mobile.

Sure, in that there's a screen above some controls, but the buttons will be crap and I don't see a decent d-pad in there either. It's a trade-off - either you get decent controls which don't suit a phone, or you get phone buttons that don't suit games.
