The contest for november is a megadrive / genesis stacking contest. The rule is you must build the tallest tower of power possible. Repeats are allowed but they must be joined end to end. All submissions must be in by december 1st.
man, this is a great one. Just a shame mine won't go that high thanks to only having Sonic & Knuckles that could have something attached to it Yakumo
Damn it! I'd be able to almost top that, but I sold all of my Genesis games. I'd get it higher if I still had the PSY-Q 32x Dev cart. That was like 6inches...
I'm really going to have to dig around and find some extra height, i know i've got another 32X and afew more region adapters somewhere.
I don't even have a mega drive and never did hehe but looking at DrDoak his is going to be hard to beat maybe I'm wrong
Will the winning entry be judged solely on height, or are there other criteria to consider? I ask because mine may not stand the tallest, but it's certainly the widest...
Thanks. I'm not even sure why I own a copy of Pete Sampras Tennis. But now I can't figure out how to get the other two 32x units back in their boxes. This cardboard packing material needs more arrows and labels.
Wow, that's awesome! I'm pretty sure that accessoryattached to the Genesis is for making backups (if i'm wrong plz let me know), but I have no idea about that cart on the top of the tower...
Pete Sampras Tennis is one of four (?) J-port Megadrive/Genesis games, which have two DB-9 sockets integrated into the cartridge. The idea is that you can connect two more controllers for four-player action with no additional hardware. Obviously, the Sega multitap you see in the picture is not intended to be connected in that fashion. The other thing is a backup unit, a rebadged Bung Multi-doctor sold through the Honeybee brand. Supposedly it connects to either the Megadrive or the Super Nintendo, but it works poorly on both. As you can see, the passthrough cart slot connects sideways, perpendicular relative to the console. I keep the thing around for asthetic purposes.
What do you think about extending this contest to all consoles, not just Mega Drive? Although there aren't many consoles that could rival the Mega Drive in terms of stackability, I bet somebody would find a way.
