http://www.ne.jp/asahi/robot/kingkizer/rx78.html Can't stand Gundam personally, but Jesus Christ, all credit to those 2 kids for putting it together!
Oh wow, that's sooo cool! Where d'ya get them? Damn, they must cost a fortune!!! I wonder how long it took them.....
Those human-sized models are always very cool Though I dont think I would put such a bug gundam in my room. heh.
I'm not saying it needs to follow me around (would be cool though) but for that price a little arm/waist movement would be nice.
I would totally want to have those in my house or out in the yard with fiber optic cameras in their eyes. Could you imagine how much you'd scare people by having those huge ass things all around. Esspecially if it were dark out.
That Gundam didn't really look like it was THAT hard to put together. All the pieces are gigantic, and other for the hands, there wasn't a lot of pieces to it, it looked like. This is coming from someone who made a few 1/100 scale ones, with ten thousand little pieces that all fell off from time to time and were easily lost. And for some reason, this bigger one seems rather...bland. I think I recall reading that the 1/60 scale did all the stuff this one does, and even parts of it opened up to reveal the cockpit and etc. Oh, and where's the paint?
HY2M line up is different from injection plastic kit line up. HY2M is pretty much meant for men in 30/40 with thick wallet - i.e. expensive toy for mature(?) men... @_@ Hence it's rather simple in terms of construction but still retain enough details to satisfy the buyers. The reason they chose 1/12 scale was if the statue is bigger than its buyer it can get intimidating and also its hands an feets are deliberately made bigger for safety reason as well as to be pleasing to eyes when you are looking it down from above... There's matching 1/12 scale Zaku II statue and with this newer Gundam you get the extra(?) features like remote controller sound effect and etc. heh
LOL. Not the best choice of words on my part but there should be some type of movement for that price. Speaking of lifesize figures though, Here is the company that makes them for most game developers. http://www.mucklefiguren.de/index_eng.html
Wow, those are some nice life-size figures - thanks for the link! I wonder what the companies do with them?
