    hey guys,
i am expecting a NR reader. Can anyone give me a small rundown on some of the features? or is it just something good for collection purposes only.

    - Can play NR discs.
    - NTSC NR readers have a US/JPN switch.

That's about it. They won't play retail games, unless someone's figured out how to burn NR-compatible discs from iso.

Pretty much all that sets the NR reader apart from a retail cube is the laser drive.

Still a very cool piece of GC dev

    Welcome to the forums also

Not that I know of, also I'm not sure why you'd want to do that. Just get a retail gcn if you wanna play retail games, they're much much cheaper.
