NTSC 32x with PAL Megadrive 1

Hi All

Just ordered a NTSC 32x and i have a asian PAL Megadrive that ive fitted a 50/60HZ switch to the 32x should run fine as long as im switched to 60hz on the megadrive, is this correct or will i have to do further mods ??

 

Yes should work. With only that one mod, the region locked 32x games have to be American.

It doesn't matter when using RGB but composite video will become NTSC since it's what an NTSC 32x outputs.

Yeah the switch also changes which region CD drives work. (There are ways like flash carts to load a region free bios.)

 

well my 32x arrived this evening and it works woohoo i have the china version of the everdrive and the games from that seem to work fine i take it for my megacd 2 to work properly i use the region free bios with the megadrive switched to 60hz and i should then be able to play 32x enhanced cds
