We all know that the Multi Mega was the PAL version of the CD-X which was released in the states (NTSC) but not many people have ever seen the NTSC version of the Multi Mega for use in Asia. While scanning Yahoo Japan I came across this boxed unit today. I though maybe you'd liek to take a look at it.

The strange thing is that it says American Spec' on it yet its called a Multi Mega and not a CD-X

I've once seen a complete tec toy version but can't find the picture anymore :'(
However, it spots frequently on mercadolibre, unfortunately unboxed.

I've been looking for one for a while. I know they were sold in Japan, but never wanted to pay the money for one as the us ones were a dime a dozen at the time.

I always thought the pal ones were an after thought.

    Box says asian spec..

Oh yeah, so it does. I should have looked a bit more closer at that. Anyway, are these Asian NTSC Multi Mega units uncommon? I've never actually seen one my self before.

The asian ones I have seen all the time, I don't know why they have so many of them.
The ntsc ones, you practically have to wait a year to see one.

I've seen them before, but given the then $500 asking prices from importers,
I decided to pass , given a cdx was $15 at the time.

They're usually 60,000+ yen on YJ... or were when I was looking for one. Too pricey.
