    Hi,
I have Pal Mega drive (genesis) and also a Pal mega CD, so my question is if i get a NTSC Genesis 32x, will it work properly with my setup once i do the 60 to 50hz mod to the NTSC 32x?
here is the mod im talking about:
    http://www.segakore.fr/index.php/2013/11/30/modify-your-mega-drive-genesis-32x-pal-ntsc#.WmXVGaiWbIV

Also i believe that is the only thing needed to get the NTSC 32x to run on the Pal mega drive and CD?
I should note that i dont have any 32x games, but i do have a mega everdrive 3x (says that it can run 32x roms)

    Thanks!
    -Tom

Yes that will work. Had the exact same setup some years ago.

Although I would just leave the 32X as is and instead 60Hz modify your Mega Drive. This way you can run your games at the correct speed.
50Hz won’t matter unless you for some reason want to play the European ROMs.

Kk thanks for getting back to me,
If i do the 60hz mod to the mega drive, would the mega cd still work no problems? (it has a region free bios too)
    Thanks!

Yes it will work fine. The only scenario where you would ever need 50Hz is when a PAL game is optimized for it and doesn’t run correctly in 60Hz. Most PAL games can run fine in 60Hz, but may require that you boot the game in 50 and then switch to 60 once it’s booted.

Also, you should know that you’ll need an RGB cable when running a PAL Mega Drive in 60Hz mode.

Thanks for getting back to me!
I opted to go the 50Hz / 60Hz on the 32x, as it seems the simplest over modifying the mega drive (not really too keen on cutting traces etc..)
I also sold my mega everdrive x3, and brought a x5 as it has a hardware mega key.
    Thanks for your help!!!
