NTSC SNS-101 (Super Nintendo Jr.) Doesn't Boot Games

So a friend of mine has a Super Nintendo Jr. SNS-101 that it doesn't power on. Now I'm not a professional with console repairs, I'm just a guy who knows how to replace fuses and capacitors in electronics. Informing him of that, I offered him assistance to help him assess what's wrong with it, so he gave me the console to take it home and tried the two PSUs he gave me and they only work with my ordinary Super Nintendo, which means that his SNS-101 console isn't working.

This is the general inside of the console. Everything inside looks to be fine.

Could there be something wrong with the transistor inside, a power connection issue or something? Help will be appreciated.

    EDIT:OK, update.

It works, but the issue I'm having instead is that I have to continually insert and remove carts from the console in order for it to work. I even sometimes have to jiggle it front and back to boot the game too. It must be cartridge slot that's showing it's age.

Give the cart slot a good cleaning and tell your friend to give all his games a good cleaning too.

What ApolloBoy said. If you're getting the red light, there seems to nothing wrong with the hardware. But SNES games do get pretty dirty and the connector isn't much help either. Give the carts a clean by rubbing the contacts with a cotton tip that's been dipped in isopropyl alcohol. When the tip is dirty, throw it away and repeat the process until the tip is clean after rubbing. As for the connector, wrap a cloth that's been soaked in isopropyl alcohol around a plastic card and insert it on the slot, making sure to keep the cloth taunt, like this:

Like the others said but If i may add: just make sure the card + cloth is not too thick to avoid damaging the pins. It should be relatively easy to insert, if it requires lot of force, use thinner card/cloth.
