My SNES (SNS-001) is having some problems, particularly the Multi Out connector. Sound works fine out of it, it's the video that I have a problem with.

Using the Nintendo A/V connectors, I get some lines on the screen that are garbled. Playing Super Mario Kart, the screen gets really miscolored, kinda like you're watching a scrambled channel on old skool cable.

I've already tried cleaning the connectors in the Mutli Out and also tried re-soldering connections on the board, thinking it's like my Genesis 2 controller connectors when I had problems with that. I've also tried using another Nintendo cable, but same results.

I know the cables work ok, because when I use them on my N64 or Gamecube, the video comes out fine.

The SNES video works just fine through the RF connector. I'm just not a big fan of using it, but that's just me.

Is there anything else I can check or do? I'm stopping short of doing an A/V connector mod to use standard A/V Cables. Thanks all!

Wrong cable, the SNES one is the inverse of the GC/N64 one (one has caps on, the other doesn't)

Really? I've always swapped them around and never had a problem. At least with the one I own for this purpose.

Yeh, my one works fine on my SNES but if I use it on N64 all I get is weird grey noise with audio working fine.

If he's not using RGB then I don't get what you mean. The Composite and S-Video cables for US SNES, N64, and GC systems should be the exact same.
