I'm (reluctantly) thinking about getting a NUON, but while the players themselves are already rare, I haven't seen a single controller in the couple months I've been watching the market. Are they still available at all, or has - as I've read elsewhere - someone in fact managed to buy and hoard them all? And if available, how much can I expect to pay for one?

I got a NUON Player cheap. But could never find a controllers. I asked around on NUON forums etc. I searched for about 6 months and one did popup on ebay and they were wanting around 150 USD. I ended up selling after that. I may get a nuon again in the future and see what it might take to adapt a normal USB controller etc.

And so it begins, another poor soul getting caught in the downward spiral... Get out while you still can, or you'll end up with a burning desire for a complete A'Can collection, or to start looking for Zeebo deals!

Also, I just realized the only (non-PC) system I currently have hooked up is a friggin CD-i. What has my life come to...?

They've become exceedingly rare on the market (people do have them, they're just very reluctant to sell them!), and when they do happen to miraculously appear, they're extortionately priced at over 100 USD. Price would also depend on which controller variant you intend to purchase; for instance, the dubiously N64 shaped controller is typically the most expensive, yet is also the second rarest (next to the vaguely PS1 shaped controller packaged with the Korean N-501 Player). So, in short, expect to pay no less than 100 USD for one; your best bet would be the standard Samsung Warrior or the Logitech gamepad.

Dang, that's about as much as the cheaper players. Only console I know where a pad is as much as the base device... Guess citrus' adaptor idea would (and that's a BIG "would" for the few games I'm interested in) be the way to go then :/ Thanks guys
