Hello,recently where i was searching about an older voxel library (caviar voxel from Animatek) i found a strange chip which could have revolutionated the DVD-video. It is a shame it was no succesfull,it seem it could had added a lots of extra for the DVD-players ,games included. There are two great websites with info about them. http://www.playerschoicegames.com/nuon.html and http://www.nuon-dome.com/ In the latest you can found two versions of its SDK,one is the public version they created http://www.dragonshadow.com/downloads/sdk2.zip and the other is a full version SDK http://www.dragonshadow.com/-/downloads/NUON_Tech_Data.zip Also a pc emulator with sources : http://www.nuon-dome.com/files/Nuance_051.zip they were a few games availables,you can easily found a copy on theisozone. The links are no mine,but i think it is a amazing plataform which deserve more atention. Ah,does someone has a updated sdk version and/or the caviar voxel library files? Thanks
Hi mmmniple, Nuon is kind of semi-obscure : https://arcryphongames.wordpress.com/2015/02/22/a-fans-history-the-nuon/. Yet it's a loveable failure, imho. Everything related to the Nuon (yes, even Tempest) was doomed from the start. By the time I was collecting Nuon stuff, you could found pallets of Logitech gamepads. The factory got them all wrong, the stick was miscalibrated so you could not use them. Yet they shipped and selled them. Well, tried to... I know a couple of Nuon collectors, I'll ask them for any info on your voxel libraty. Cheers.
Hello,thanks. I have no seen the link you posted : it is very interesting. (I think than Nuon Tech should have been successfull) it is a shame than the company was no serious with the people than bought their product. did you found anything new about latest sdk? Thanks for all.
