Hmm no live so no netflix streamed service? I'm confused at my motivation for using it but thank you nevertheless!

Uhm, this is already outside of 0bit. This came from se7ensins, the update is widely leaked aside from that, since your locked out of LIVE! you also will not get the second part of the update. The first update just basically downloads the the dash skin and the install to hdd feature, other features are supposed to be downloaded with the auto update from live except since microsoft anticipated this won't download because your console ID isn't accepted into the "preview" and you won't be able to access LIVE therefore all you will get is a dashboard skin without live and the play from hard drive feature. Things like avatars, netflix, and other crap isn't included in this.

Last time I posted out of 0bit it got moved here. So I believe this is the correct forum for this.
Yeah I should have mentioned that avatars don't work, and obiously netfix and all the other online crap won't either. The thing that kept me from upgrading was that I need LIVE to have divx support

Any updates on this? Will you be able to upgrade when the update finally hits?

I honestly wouldnt bother with this as it is the preview to NXE which comes out in 20 days or so, id rather just keep my LIVE functionality and wait for it to come out officially.

I have it on a thumb drive here and kept sticking the drive into my friends Xboxes to freak them out (since you get no live till the 19th) ;)

Yeah, you could just burn a cd and leave it in a friends 360, they will get the "Update Required" at bootup and probably just install it without thinking ;-)

I went ahead and installed it on mine, liking it so far, I can live without Live for a few weeks....and playing Dead Space from the Hard Drive is nice with ZERO noise from the drive...it's eerily quiet 0_o

Just tried it out,its ok but its not that great.I kind of like the old dash better and the installing full games on the hdd is pretty cool.

Game installations is what I'm looking forward to. Makes my Elite actually worth something. How big are typical games? 8gb into 80gb (my free space) is like 10 games or something. Guess it depends but a quiet disc drive rocks.

For the most 360 games are around 3 to 6 gigs, but can go higher and I have seen 360 games just around 1 gig lol.

Yeh, it's fun to play with it and it weirded out a few friends at first but now that the novelty is gone I could go for some streamed netflix.
