Hello, Have a read it's quite good... I didn't realise Sony was that desperate, I mean didn't they have like 4 years to study competition for online services a la Xbox Live. What are these guys doing??? That kind of review is not good for business... Hope they will improve it soon, same can be said about the Wii sure motion sensing is cool but the online functionnalities isn't a defacto standard nowadays??? Xbox360 has got a lot of good days to look forward with Sony... Especially with games like Gears of War, Sony is a no-go Xbox 360 is a much better proposition. Sabre
WTF does the NY Times know about video games? Recently, in their Weekend magazine they were commenting on how the Wii will have Hi Definition graphics. The dolts.
It's a quality newspaper, but every technology piece I have read in there seems to be written from the back of the packaging or filled with glaring errors that anyone in the know would be able to spot a mile away. It's the same with most newspapers, not just the NY Times. Even Wired hasn't got a clue.
Duh. I cant read the article because i wont upgrade to TimesSelect nor purchase it. So yes, they truly know theyr business EDIT : and the significance of business in general
I liked the point of view of the writer since he seems to be at my level of gaming. A lot of the extra features of the 360 are what really makes it a great system to me. I remember reading an article before the first XBOX came out saying that the real battle would happen with the 2nd version of the XBOX and 3rd version of the PS. They predicted that as long as Microsoft could make it to the second round their expertise with the internet would give them a leg up on Sony for online gaming and experience. Looks like that prediction is playing out?
the 60GB model outsold the 20GB model; http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/747/747178p1.html What hypocrites. Of course it sold more, you made 80% more 60GB units you SONY assess! This truly demonstrates the power of the PlayStation brand and further validates our belief that consumers see real value in an entertainment system that will define the next decade of digital entertainment. They seem to forget that most systems were bought for resale rather than personal use, as is evidenced by the 0.90 ratio of system/game. No wonder resistance sold so well - there was virtually nothing else that was remotely next gen on the system. The only fuss I ve seen so far about the Ps3 revolves around its resale and acquisition hype. I hear NOTHING about how GREAT it looks or how great it PLAYS. Maybe they should rename the PlayStation to the WhateverStation. Damn, they employ geniuses
