Do I need gold to download indie games ? Im in the EU (NL)... I am not allowed to download. I can try with my US account.
While you don't need a Gold Account, unfortunately Xbox Live Indie Games are only available to a small number of markets: US UK Canada France Germany Italy Spain Sweden Japan Singapore We've been trying to get Microsoft to open the market up to new areas, but they only seem interested in doing so for the Windows Phone platform.
I have an Xbox Live account with an address in Ohio just to get games like these. You just need to buy the American points from Play-Asia or elsewhere for these accounts.
Weird thing is, back when I had a gamedev "indie" account, I was able to get these. maybe confince MS or go get another year XNA.
