Don't get me wrong, those Razer mousepads look really nice, but I doubt they would provide much more advantage (if any) over my Micro-Thin, which was 1/3 the price. You are right in that they make quality stuff, I've been super impressed with my DeathAdder since day one.

As for speakers, I don't have anything too extravagant. I've got a little Philips 2.1 system, with a 50w (RMS :D) subwoofer. It's plenty decent for my needs. Also, I don't have a discrete sound card. Onboard seems good enough for me, which is probably strange considering I went all out on everything else. However, I've heard horror stories from people trying to use discrete sound cards on nForce motherboards, especially with SLI setups.

Anyway, here are the speakers I have:

Ah, snazzy! I did the opposite, bought an Xfi years ago....and kept my shitty speakers. lol. I listen to a LOT of music so I figured it would be a good idea, especially when my left speaker cuts out.

I dunno if the Xfi made a difference. I want to say yes, games and stuff sound better, but I dunno. I think it makes a difference but I haven't used onboard sound hardly ever. I had a SB Live before, and got this in 2005 or so. The drivers were retarded for awhile but no problems now....you gotta use ALchemy to get D3D sound in Vista though, but no prob, no big hassle.

MMO at a LAN....jesus, that killed the LANS, that and the lack of games. Hardly anyone had fucking anything. I think we played Day of Defeat the most, and I hate shooters like that, but it was still fun. We also did CS...but again, I'd rather do UT and Painkiller and stuff. Then WoW became popular and it always ended up being that. They weren't even on the same fucking server!

Now that I remember it, I did buy Guild Wars a long time ago...and I'm pretty sure I played it about three times. Whoops. Whatever, not like theres a point to it.

I've got some nice Sennheiser headphones. I like them more than my speaker set...though I'd like surround sound more.

How was Guild Wars, BTW? I kinda wanted to get it to try it out. AWS said he had a roommate who played it all the time.

I have some badass Seinheiser earbuds/in ear whatevers. Kick ass.

Guild Wars isn't bad or anything. It's cheap and you don't pay for it ever again, plus it does sort of end. I just never got into it because MMO's feel so fucking pointless, especially when your not playing with anyone.

I saw a huge pack of all 3 games for like $30 at Gamestop, I kinda wanted to try it out.

I've never played an MMO before either, so I don't know. I might know what I'm missing if I played it.

Is it an action game or is it like Diablo where you just click on enemies a lot?

Uhhhh, both I guess. I dunno how to explain it. you could probably go play one of those free to play mmo's and figure it out, nearly every mmo plays the same.

I will say though, wow probably is the funnest mmo to play....I guess. I dunno. It's still pretty fucking boring. At least with Guild Wars you don't have to live in it.

There's that Warhammer one isn't there?

I don't know, I hear the Warhammer one is pretty boring.

I might try Guild Wars out, I don't want an MMO where you pay to play and your guild *requires* you to be on like 30 hours a week or something.

I've heard that WoW is like a work sim that you pay to play, I want something free to at least mess around on like Guild Wars.

Guild Wars 2 is coming out pretty soon, so I may get that..it looks pretty cool anyway.

But I digress. I'm doing some serious derailin' to AWS's thread.:110:

As for Sennheiser headphones, I really want to get one of these, and they went down to a more "acceptable" price for me, so I might get some.

GW2 isn't coming anytime soon. I'd say GW is fine for fucking around in. That's why I got it.

I really don't like the WOW shit simply because I think it's rediculous how people act like it's something to put on there schedules....like friends home from college who can't hang out because there doing a raid....ughh. This is coming from somebody who loves video games. Even I say fuck you to the controller when it's time to do something.
