So i sold an item via ebay and noticed this when i was checking my emails. As usual i send payment info to buyer but then (i'm not sure how long after) i got another ebay message this time it displayed Ebay.pl instead of just Ebay like it normally does and it was in polish not english. Having used google translate i kind of worked out it was telling the buyer the details and amount payable for the item. Is this normal as in my many years on ebay i've never come across this before and i have no idea about this?
Is the buyer located in Poland? Perhaps he bought it via the Ebay.pl interface rather then Ebay.co.uk or Ebay.com? -hl718
The buyer is polish but his address is British although he may have used ebay.pl instead of .co.uk. I'm still not quite sure why i got the email as its in polish telling the buyer payment details but shows GBP instead of Polish zloty unless its meant to do that as he uses a British address.
If I use ebay.com to buy something eventhough my address is in the Netherlands it displays prices in USD.. maybe you can adjust your preferences somewhere not sure.
eBay sent you the message because it CC'ed you on buyer communications automatically. Sounds like he just uses eBay.pl for all his bidding, probably because that's what he used before moving to the UK. -hl718
