I have a YouTube channel that I'll put up a video on if I ever get something interesting or maybe a "how to" video, and I've recently become interested in unlicensed accessories. So, what are some interesting accessories that you guys know of? Searching on eBay will occasionally come up with a few but it's not really anything too intriguing. EDIT: Oh, and despite the name of the channel, they don't have to be for Nintendo consoles. Here's the channel for anyone who is interested. http://www.youtube.com/user/NintendoRepairs
Well I know of a Majohng(sp?) accesory for the Famicom, Inflatible Bike for the Famicom, Some golf thing for the Super Famicom. All I can think of right now, just do an ebay search for "famicom accessories" and you'll see(most of the wierder ones cost $300+)
Well Here Are Mine... -The Glove Made for the original Playstation, I got it on sale at GameStop back in 2002. It doesn't really seem to work good on any games except the racing variety, also its really awkward to use. But it looks snazzy! -Batter-Up! A baseball bat motion controller that was made for the Sega Genesis and SNES. It works great for batting in baseball games and has an extra long cord. The downside is that having to try and use the regular controls on it is painful and nearly unresponsive. -TeeV Golf Another motion controller, but this one uses a laser mounted on the end of the golf club that passes by a floor mounted receiver to simulate hitting a golf ball. The build quality is much better than the plastic/foam baseball bat, in that it has real rubber and metal. Thus giving it accurate weight of an actual golf club. This probably the best of all my "special" accessories because it works on nearly every Golf game for my Sega Genesis. Also the laser can be used as a weapon for blinding/hitting people. -The Sega Menacer Very good at what it does on arcade shooters like Terminator 2 and Lethal Enforcers. But mine gets all kinds of interference from all the electronics in my basemen, especially the TV remote. I also own a mouse for my Sega, but it doesn't wanna work like its supposed to when I use it!
You mean this? or the first game The best one is this one for the playstation, as it has it's own built in LCD screen so each player can only see their hand and the thrown pieces on the screen. The Neo Geo is the only other console to have a Mahjong controller The thing is a lot of these controllers mention on this very page are in fact licenced but they are definately obscure.
Wow, that Neo Geo mahjong controller is indeed obscure. I didn't even know there was one. That Hori mahjong thing is pretty common though. There's a Saturn version as well, isn't there? Yakumo
The Realtec 9 button whack-a-critter controller and that huge Saturn Death Crimson 'controller' spring to mind. http://www.gamesetwatch.com/2006/03/death_crimson_overkill_with_gi.php
The Capcom one, and the first image doesn't show. And I never knew Neo Geo had one too, let alone a game to support it. It would help if I owned one though
I was going to mention that, besides wasnt the menacer made by SEGA? It was featured in every Genesis box and catalog at the time
