I've been told your cart uses 1 MEG of EEPROM while the normal A/R uses 256 KB.

Erm, it has the exact same EEPROM part numbers as retail:-
    SST
    29LE010
    150-4C-NH
Perhaps you are confusing bits and bytes?

Neat. I haven't seen much proto-ish info on this sort of accessory. I can only wonder what a meaningful proto of the famed NES Game Genie would be worth...

I remember this was available from a mail order company in an ad in the back of a gaming mag during the N64 days. The same company also sold a bunch of the other obscure accessories like the Game Booster. The trainer kit was quite expensive, IIRC. I'll see if I can find the ad...

    Here it is:

The Power RAM is just a regular third party expansion pack according to an old IGN article from a Google search. Note that it's listed as 2MB (brings N64 total memory to 6MB), but the ad in a later issue lists 4MB.

Along with an expansion pack, it requires the Shark Link to work, which should be somewhat easier to find since it was available for all 3 platforms.

With the total kit costing $140, it's not much of a surprise it's so rare.

awesome!!... the mystery is solved. I've never seen one of these before, so the release must be extremely limited.
