Hi Guys, My wife remembers a game about ants around 1998, 2d scroller, special factor "he could fart, she laughs". The ant was grey and not cartooney looking, he was walking on two legs. Anyone has any ide waht she is talking about. Help me out my missery as she keeps nagging about it
Earthworm Jim? But, as the name imply, it was a Earthworm. He was in a gray suit, he had two legs, it was cartooney looking they was fart jokes and stuff, it's a 2d scroller around 98 and was a well-known game.
This question belongs in General Gaming! I would imagine the game in question wasn't rare - certainly not enough to warrant inclusion in this forum. There was Boogerman, too, but he wasn't an ant and was earlier. What platform was it on? Do you mean a sidewards scroller? Games I can think of with ants: Anteater (way too early) Fire Ant (way too early) Ant Attack (way too early) SimAnt (too early) Push-Over (too early) Ant Run (maybe a little early, it's a Pipe Mania game, though) Ant Attack (approx. right era, different from the above, don't think it's this) Antz (right era) Empire of the Ants (a little later, don't think it's this, though) Antz: Extreme Racing (a little too late) The Ant Bully (too late)
The Chinese Mega Drive original of BUGS LIFE features a blue-ish gray looking ant that walks upright. I can't remember if it farted though. You wife could have been playing this on a PC via an emulator I guess. Yakumo
Hey guys, Solved the mystery, it wasn't an ant, but an alien which looked like an ant: Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee Thank you all for the reponses, Pandake
Knew that you must be talking of Abe just when I read the title, the fart-button had deep influence on my childhood.
Are you sure it wasn't Fable 2? I hear farting makes you quite the lady's man. Sadly it did not seem to work on my wife. =( (im not serious)
Ahh damnit! A Bug's Life!! d'oh! Ah yes - Abe's Oddysee! Well done that man ;-) Also available on PlayStation, of course.
lol. Is Bug any fun at all? Worth checking out? I always wanted to try it as a kid, looks like one of Segas failed new mascot things.
I actually liked bug, but the camera and controls might seem a bit dated if your head is stuck in modern era games.
