I got this as part of an auction along with a beta of a saturn game. Im wondering just what in the hell it is. Its got four DIP switches, the 4th one seems to switch to PAL video signal. Im not sure what the others do. The thing that has me wondering is the PSY sticker with serial number and such. Anyone know if this is official or what exactly it is and what it can do? I should also add that it came in a normal retail Saturn box, but included a "Psy-Q Systems Manual CD Emulator for the Sega Saturn" manual, which is in a binder type housing and is 123 pages.
It's not for the mirage unit... I dunno... this is a Cross saturn: http://gamerhistory.com/hardware/SaturnDev.html this is what my board looks like from the side: http://gamerhistory.com/images/SaturnDev/VCD.jpg But i still haven't gotten this unit working...
At first glance I thought this was a PsyQ http://rpgd.emulationworld.com/fh/misc/ncp/Pict7294.jpg Which you'd connect up to the PsyQ SCSI board ( the yellow board in the picture ) and it would be like an action replay. However I think it hooks up to the cd emulator isa card that was also used on the PSX ( or at least a different revision of it ). http://img61.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fscdemulator5yf.jpg You'll almost certainly need software for it. smf
