Does anyone have information about the early stages or cut features of these two games? They were developed by Oddworld Inhabitants for the PlayStation and PC formats and a rumored Saturn version was supposedly in development but it seems that didn't get far if started at all. My searches have turned up little, maybe someone here knows something?

Exoddus probably wasn't being developed for the Saturn.
Oddysee was originally a Saturn exclusive under the title Soul Storm! However it quietly disappeared and was released in September 1997 for PC and PS1.
Damn, I love those two games. It would be cool to see an early version of Oddysee. Exoddus? Not so much. They had the engine pretty much ready and probably had all the plot points figured out.

Nothing really all THAT interesting. The last screenshot just shows the same area before they had the enemies and hazards placed.
Also, the 2nd screenshot is not the same area in an older state. It's a just a screen before you reach the area shown in the final AFAIK. Abe can go up one further screen using the "elevator" and that would make him reach the area shown in the final.

I have heard from reliable sources that russian pirates, who pirate on a massive industrial scale often in the same factories that press licensed media, have their own network inside the global entertainment industry who supply them in order for the pirates to always have the latest stuff. I can imagine some early builds of software / games did come their way more than once. Same goes for movies and music too. All of this was of course before the common russian could afford an internet connection.

Kinda confusing though since I wasn't aware Russia got their own localizations of PSX games. If the PSX didn't have an official market in Russia, how come the company made a Russian version? Or did some PSX games in fact get distributed over there? I'd think it were just a fan hack otherwise.

I think one or two of the last psx games got an official translation and the rest were made by commercial industry scale pirates :)

*industry scale=owning offices, factories and large distribution networks.
