My ill fated Hong Kong trip that was cancelled last year after the London Bombings, then cancelled again in September after the BA Catering strikes OH: So seeing Barry at GameChoiceClub as well while away Have a really busy working trip................................. Arrive Friday afternoon, dinner at the Ritz Carlton http://www.ritzcarlton.com/hotels/hong_kong/ Then Saturday evening dinner at the Peninsula http://hongkong.peninsula.com/ Fly back Sunday evening. Only thing is miss the major New Year celebrations but hey when it`s costing me NADA! Life`s a bitch :nod:
Already checked on this but they are out in the sticks plus the other thing is that being Chinese New Year most shops etc are shut :-(

I stayed at the peninsula for a couple of days, amazing hotel. You're a lucky guy to get to go there. If you are eating in the Chinese dim sum restaurant you are in for a truly amazing meal!
I'm trying extremely hard to keep my burning rage and jealousy in check. Blast you people who think you can just fly out of your country on one o' them fancy airplanes! That said, have fun, and take pictures!
I stayed right next to the peninsula on my trip. Sham-shui-po is a little disapointing, but worth the trip just to see. Also make sure to visit the night market. And if your hotel is facing the bank of china and other buildings there is a light show every night.
Hong kong is that movie with the big monkey, right? ...er... anyway.... Sounds like a cool trip, but of course you'll need to go back someday and spend some more time there.
