I think it was a bad idea to split the off topic area into several different sub forums. I realize that I sort of an advocate for this before, but now that it's in place it doesn't seem to be working. People are using the off topic forum less, it would seem. I think perhaps people are lazy and don't want to have click twice to get into one of the forums. Also, people are probably somewhat confused, because in the split second you decide to post something, it's hard to decide which of the sub-forums to put it in. So you say, "fuck it," and just decide not to post it. I just think it's too complicated. And I also think the off topic forum was a good thing for us as a community because it allowed us to get to know each other beyond the obvious, taken-for-granted reasons (videogames). Thus, if at all possible, I think the forums should be re-merged into one forum, as it was before. Of course, I'd like to know what other people think of this as well.
We've talked to ASSEMbler about this and rest asured you are not the only one who isn't happy. ASSEMbler will put it all back to the way it was when he has a bit of time. He's quite busy at the moment which is why we haven't seen him here as much as useral. Yakumo
