http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sxqTyG1eVw&eurl= a nice little video of tekken 2 running via the new ps1 emulation setup. Also sony anounced the usa price scale will be 5.99 - 10.99 (i question if nintendo's high VC prices are making them up the price a little). No games listed yet for USA but sony said there will be 10 games on the first day. While I would wish for $5 vs $6 I cant complain too much. $6 is not too bad for some ps1 games (specialy the ones japan got).
IMPRESSIVE, really. loading times are great too, and i like how they worked on the ratio correction.... too bad NINTENDO ruined EVERYTHING with their SKY high prices! sony tought that if ninty could rape your wallet like that with nobody complaining they could do the same
Tekken 2 of all games, wow, nice job! Nintendo went the extra mile to ruin it for you and me by adding region-specific locks and content bastards ><
what do you mean? nintendo showed that nobody would complain to such crazy high prices, and sony raised their owns too.
Well, loading was never a problem on most of the arcade ports of NAMCO games on the PS1. The game fully loads at the start... As for the ratio correction, PS1 emulation is avaiable for quite some time, so this would not be a huge problem (i think). It's nice they kept the game on it's original form (options menu shows memory card management and controls show the PS1 pad). Adding the manual is a cool thing too. What is funny though is that you must have a PS3 to play a PS1 game on a PSP. And you can't play it on the PS3. (only if you have the original PS1 disc). Sony ->
Johny, this limitation is temporary. They do it on purpose to promote the PS3 sales , even by a small margin , for people who cant wait to play PS1 games on their PSP . They re just greedy - although not as much as nintendo xD
Two more vids. Both of Biohazard Directors Cut (ie 1.5) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fN75Wkqcn4&mode=user&search= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kik_5DTtDPo&mode=user&search= Purely temporary. Early next year you will be able to download them directly on your psp. As well early next year you can play your dl ps1 games on both your ps3 & psp (I think you are allowed to play it on up to 5 systems, so you can actualy take it to a friends and play). Still over all sony has a much better though out plan then nintendo.
Biohazard 1.5 is the unreleased and uncompleted version of Biohazard 2, not Directors Cut to my knowledge. Dot50cal is the authority on this though
I understand that. But we all know the PSP is not the sucess Sony hoped. If they really wanted to help to promote sales of the PSP, they would make the PS1 games avaiable using a PC->PSP Store, just like iTunes. The need of a PS3 to do that, even if temporary, is not helping. It's even worse if you remember that PS3 aren't avaiable as easily as they planned. That's what i meant to say.
