I'm pretty pumped about the Gods Eater sequel that was announced, even if it was just one entry on a giant list of proposed releases. I find intriguing the vague suggestion that Sony is going to try to find a way to support UMD software. Would that be an external optical drive, or some sort of online registration system to validate ownership of the game? Anything that keeps my existing library valid for the new hardware is a plus.
That was a really poor pres event from sony. Sure no where close to being the worse ever but after Nintendo's event the day before, they needed to come out guns blazing. Still if we look at all what the Vita has, it has some really good stuff on the way and the announcement of Square doing FF10 remake is pretty big (shocking it's Vita/PS3). Also the vita it self is amazing hw for it's price. -edit- I forgot to add, remake of Ys 4. I'm there dude!!
I'm a bit confused, I thought TGS started tomorrow! And I've been seeing reviews about conferences all over!
ffX remake?.... why sony doesn't drop a gold money in square pocket to get an exclusive ffVII remake? not what i would like to see but would move tons of units....
Am i the only dissapointed by TGS? Nothing truly exciting for 3DS or WiiU, nothing new for PS3 and as for the Vita... I don't really care for portable gaming anymore.
Yes, they've announced two games for it. I'll be going to TGS just to try out the Vita and to buy some cool game stuff. I didn't bring enough money with me last year and missed out on some kick ass Neo Geo and Saturn T-shirts.
Shit I wasn't expecting there would be a TGS after the tsunami... Anyway, I hate to say this but it will be a fucking miracle if the PSV manages to beat the 3DS Its all looking too much like back when the PSP and DS launched: the 3DS HW sucks major ass, but it has good games on the way. The PSV isnt as royally fucked as the PSP was with crap like death Jr, but still I (and many others) will probably just get one to play ports of PS3 games like Uncharted or GOW. IMO sony needs to cut the PSV down to $200, I dont care about the 3G version, but the fact is that everyone is broke right now, and even when I can afford one the fact is that the main market for portables are KIDS and I can picture most parents going for the now cheaper 3DS rather than splurge $250 on a PSV. Seriously, nobody was buying the 3DS when it sold for $250, even with all the 3D crap it had which (lets admit it) was way more imprevise for casuals than the quad-core CPU in the PSV is
It's been confirmed that the console is region-free. The battery life is as bad as the 3DS, but at least Sony are making an official rechargeable battery pack available.
Battery life of this new generation is really cheesing me off. It's a 10 hour flight back to America from Japan... how do they expect me to get on? And that's to LAX. Kansas is another 4 hours >< Do you know what a pain it is to charge something at LAX? And If I brought a 3DS I'd need a 4 hour layover to do it!
Let me tell you people about parents and the 3DS.. They cant tell the difference between the 3DS and Nintendo DS. My Sister had a birthday, and my mom went to the store to buy a 3DS. My mom came home with a Nintendo DSi! And as for the price, most people in North America that filed a tax return last year will get a check around Jan, and maybe another one in march, and I am speaking about Canadian residents. So, if the PSV launches in Jan - March, it can be paid off with that check or some of it.
There were Vita ads up throughout Sofmap this weekend in Akihabara. Thought that was interesting. That and Sofmap's new retro store. It looks like the god of retro vomited in a corner there and they expect you to sort through the chunks. But that's another thread...
