Whoa, that would be a fun multiplayer game for Sunday school students.

Isn`t there a company that specifically does Religious games?

Remember seeing it on a tv show in the UK called

"Around the world in 80 games"

Which really started in Seattle and made it`s way down the west coast then part way across the US!

Yeah, I saw that show too. Load of poo. It was on Bravo wasn't it? Around America is 80 days would have been a better title.

Wisdom Tree did a load of unlicensed games for the NES (one or two for the SNES too), and used a religious theme to avoid being sued (since Nintendo wouldn't want to be seen suing Christians ;)).

Do you think the 7 copies sold will cover development costs? :)

It would be an easy game to get approval from Sony, though. A threat of releasing a news story about Sony not allowing religious games would ensure you got approval!

What is it with religion messing into every other aspect of life lately?
And through blackmail, of all means...

    Yeesh.

    Religious games have been done![IMG]

And they're so corny it's nuts. I hear spiritual warfare is half decent though, but I can't get it to work.

You're not missing much if Spiritual Warfare doesn't work.
I've played on IMBnes and seen the reviews. I don't recall (the boss of that particular religion) being a homophobe or an elitist, but whatever floats their boat is okay, as long as they don't come shoving it down my throat. Also, wearing pink does not mean one is gay.

Still, they shouldn't blackmail companies like they did back then just because they're (particular religion name) and the company wouldn't want to be seen suing them.

I don't know. If the game is TRULY about the bible, it might be fun - lots of video-game likely scenarios are there for sure.
If it's about discrimination and being "holier" than other people (like Spiritual Warfare), I'd rather pass.

Thats nothing. Artificial Studios will unveil an FPS where the setting takes place on holy sites. you have the atheists vs. the christians vs. the jews vs. the muslims. Its an all out holy war. Game is called Armageddon.

if someone would do a literal all encompasing translation of the bible into videogame format, it would be awesome. murder, rape, genocide, satan, demonic beings, beheadings, epic battles, slaughter, sacrifices, torture, mayhem, incest, sex, floods, concubines, sex, sex, sex, sex, and more killings. with an esrb ratting of AO...id be drooling all over it.

think of the side-quest potential...collecting foreskins, murdering heathens, stoning adulterers...

Socialdrone: Now that's what I'm talking about... he he

HOWEVER, it would be awesome to have a mecha shooter/3d duel game, where the bosses are named after religions, but in a Sentai/anime mode?

You know, the Judaism robot would be "Atomic Dreidel Enforcer: Sion!", or the Christianity robot would be "Mechanical Messiah Engine Golgotha Zero!". There could even be a hindu robot: "MultiArm Karma Power Suit KRISHNA type G!" " And the stages would be all symbolic and there'd be XenoGears caliber religious psychobabble and Evangelion style pilots and post-apocalyptic Tokyo stuff.

Come on, tell me that wouldn't be the most awesomest robot game ever?
