I'll believe it when I see it. People take out options on movie rights for ridiculous games all the time. My favorite: back in 1999/2000 or so, someone bought the rights to make a "Mega Man" movie, which thankfully never saw the light of day.

I can only envision this as me sitting in a theater for 2 hours watching someone else playing the original Mega Man on NES.. There is just no possible way for me to envision a game based on this..

I don't really see how they could make a movie based on this either.

My guess is it will be like Dragon Wars. Cool looking monsters and some cool fighting scenes and stuff, but the story and protagonists will be cliched and boring.

Also, isn't Wander pretty much a loner during the whole game? I guess they could make a good movie based on this if they tried to, though. Not sure how they would deal with the fact that Wander is the only human pretty much in the forbidden lands, unless Dormin's voice actor also talks to him a lot in the movie.

At least Uwe Boll isn't going to direct it, hopefully...

Honestly, this would need Terry Gilliam in the director's chair, a running time of 13-14 hours, and very little to no dialogue to do the game any justice.

Even then I'd prefer the movie not exist and would just rather play the game.

    This is F'D.

I wish Hollywood would come up with something original. Everything is based off something else these days.
