OK... Modern Warfare 2 Roll Call?

Goggles are on my desk as we speak, and they actually work reasonably well, which surprised me.

 

With in the same round. usual 10 seconds after you're capped like a gangsta

 

I think I'll pass on Modern Warfare 2... Not to mention I'm going to be sick of all the fucking fanboys after tonight. Only me and one other person working the midnight sale and we have about 120 reserves for the game... Someone do me a favor and kill me now.

 

@Skaarg: Holy shit, you're going to have a terrible night, don't bring weapons to your strore, you'll most likely kill someone.

 

I was wise I preordered the hardened edition on Amazon with Day of release shipping

 

I'm right there with ya. I'm workin' the midnight shift, too. We're only staying open for like 20 mins and we've only got like 21 pre-orders. So it shouldn't be too bad.

 

Wow, how many do you expect will show up tonight?

 

We sold 85 copies combined on the 360 and PS3. 2 MW2 360 systems, and 0 copies on the DS. =P

However though during the midnight sale we also did a 20% off sale on all used games so I'd say between 12 AM and 1:10 (last sale) we had about 100-110 customers in the store.

Surprisingly no one came into to pick up reserves on prestige editions tonight though.

I'd say the only reason we had so many reserves on the game though is because during the midnight sale we did a $5 off the standard edition deal. You'd be surprised how many people freak out over saving $5 and not having to put money down for a reserve. =P

 

Got to Sainsbury's for 7:45am this morning, with the store opening at 8am. People queued up already, around 30 or so but it quickly grew to over 100.

Lucky me, as soon as the store opened I got the first copy as I rang in advance to reserve one. I was then told there were only 50 copies of each available, so I'm guessing there'll be a lot of unhappy chappys that queued up.

As for the game, just spent an hour on it. Seems pretty meh so far, the singleplayer at least.

I did the same Roll Call on the Magicbox and Hardcoregaming 101.

Got one live tag there...HG 101 just bitched and complained an babbled on about how Evil Activision is and how they're boycotting the game...All I wanted was some live tags....

 

I'm sure the game is fun on consoles, but the PC segment feels they got shafted.... so I won't be buying it. Well, mainly because I don't own a Ps3 or 360...

 

Bought it today for my 13 year old brother, sorry guys.

Just been playing through a few special ops missions with my mates. Very good fun

 

More then a 100 people in a UK or US store for a midnight launch is a huge amount of people!

For you store workers, is this the biggest launch you've seen or have there been bigger crowds for other games?

Why don't we see a million articles bitching about the length like everyone does about every other game?:dammitThis is shorter than most games single player modes)

Oh well, When I get the money someday i'll have to buy it and give it a try anyway, i'm sure it's good.
