When you talk about Okami to anybody, they usually tell you how amazing it is. Critics love it too. So i went out and bought it for the ps2 "better late than never". I've been playing it for a good 4ish hours now, just finished resparking the spring thingy outside the village and am really hating this game. The paint mechanic is fun and all, but i dont really know what on earth is happening. There seems to be no direction in the story so far, and there is no means of knowing what to do next. And i find the combat sluggish and fairly repetitive. I REALLY want to enjoy this game, but i don't know if i can. Is that bad? Any advice on how to enjoy it more? is there something im missing here?
Lol, you just wrote: Yes , it's really good computer! Practicing french? You're getting there. How did you knew I speak it? Simply from the fact that I'm from Quebec?
The HD remaster on the PS3 is just gorgeous! The image is amazing, the soundtrack is just outstanding. I cried a lot in the ending. Okami is the most pleasant game I ever played. It's one of those unique games that you enjoy every single second of it. Okami has a special place among the best games made so far.
Capcom is known for it's bad choices. Besides, as far as the videos I've seen Okamiden isn't as great as Okami. Not every great title needs a sequel.
When you kill them and they have slow motion use brush teck on them slash is common you will get a demon fang for it and they are tradiable for some good stuff
Lol i used to do french, and i could tell you speak it from the syntax of your sentence "OK, new game to play for me. It's PS2?" it is ps2 is a common french mistake hehe and because quebec yeah
TBH The HD remake vs Wii edition (With 480p Component cable) you can't tell a jot of difference, maybe just an upscale if that. It's the Art style they've chosen which is the main reason for this- which thankfully means even the DS one looks beautiful. I recommend all the Okami games, but I kindof find Okamiden almost an exact repeat of Okami as it uses almost the 100% exact same areas..
Dude, I have two good eye balls and the Okami on both Wii and the PS3, also on the PS2. Wii with proper component cable. The difference is HUGE. Here, you can see how blurry the ps2 and wii versions are. The color standard of HD content makes the games outstanding. On the Okamiden, I'll take a look when it gets released on anything that don't use a micro screen. Maybe it can hit the Wii U virtual console someday. It's not worth playing it even on the 3DS XL. I hate small screens.
You've got a point, but it still depends on the model of Component cable+ TV you get. I still agree with you- it looks amazing on the PS3, but it's hard to really call it a true 'redefined HD experience' when they've upscaled+ brightened colours. Still a good enough difference for a purchase, mind you.
Well, it's not a remake it's an HD improved version. The audio is still stereo if I remember correctly. Just to point a flaw. If they changed much they would harm the original Okami experience. I think they went as far as they could go.
