Okinawa ! Please edumacate me.

    So a friend is getting married in Okinawa and i'm going to be making the trip down there for the big event.

    Anyone got any tips on what to do / see / etc?

    I'll be taking my camera/videocamera so will be looking to do some snapping.

    Looking for any recommendations at all, this will be my first time in Okinawa :D

    You can visit the University of the Ryukyus at Shuri Castle in Naha. Just imagine going to school in a castle. The area around Naha is where Karate originates; however, I doubt you'll find it interesting unless you practice the art.

    I did Bushido Kempo JuJitsu for 8 years when i was (much) younger. Not Karate obviously but would still love to see the area :D

    Anyways, i ended up not going to Okinawa - disappointed to not make it to friends wedding :(
