Someone has some information? -Release -Manufacturer -Units solds -Sale price when they were released -Date of cessation of production and the reason Have you ever saw one in your country?
The only time I saw this was in a UK magazine. I'm afraid I can't shed any light about the product. I never saw it in stores that's for sure.
I've seen the CrazyBoy. I remember joking about how it was called the crazy boy because of the crazy price. About US$70. Haven't seen one for 6, maybe 8 years. But back then they were pretty common, going back maybe 2 years. You could find them at the Temple street night market so millions of tourists saw it and I'm guessing some measurable percentage bought it. No idea about the specifics of the other one. There have been too many forgettable clones and fakes.
Hello there. Somebody wrote a cool review for game fighter here: http://blog.gg8.se/wordpress/2012/11/11/gameboy-clone-game-fighter-teardown/ I've read that most of those vintage clones are very hard to get, even in China. I was looking for several years a "taco" like GB, however I was unable to locate and purchase a unit in a descent condition.
I discovered these clones on internet. I never saw them in shops or magazines, but I have investigated and the game fighter was sold in my country but only in obscure chinese stores (probably dissapeared now) . In a spanish forum I asked too but only 2 persons said that they saw one in real life. LOL 70 bucks. So you said that these clones had not been sold at same time that the original gameboy was released? Could be interesting to know the production date. Do you know if there are more GB clones like these? Can you say the country where do you live? Thank you all
I was still in the US when the original Game Boy was released. I didn't see the Crazy Boy until mid 2000's. It could have been around earlier and I just didn't see it. Or they could have made an earlier model and a later model I saw. I don't know. Without opening and playing every system you'll never know what's an actual clone and what's some shitty brick game made to look like a game boy. I never took the time. I'm in Hong Kong. That's where i saw it.
From what I've heard you can still buy some models of Game Kings new on the mainland. Here you can only buy them from old ladies who dig stuff out of the trash.
Dug from the trash they cost $1-2. I don't know what they go for in China. I do know timetop doesn't sell them any more. I don't know if people are selling a limited supply of old stock or if someone else is producing them.
Usually. They just throw everything in a pile and let people sort through it. Each time adding another scratch to the screen. A good source of spare parts but it wrenches my heart every time I see something scratched to shit that I know was in good condition when it was binned. Sometimes you're lucky and get something early in the cycle.
There is a "Prodis fighter" gb clone currently on ebay, but the price is crazy. The seller has made this video:
2,713.00 usd holy crap!i could of bought if I hadn't already spent 10,500 on super obscure Atari 2600 games and systems.
I thought y No point in bothering go reply to his boasting because he's been banned for good. Too much effort needed to follow his every post.
