old video game help

    hello. im very new to using forums so i hope i wont get in trouble by doing this. but. my grandpa got me a japanese n64 but i dont know how to plug it in. ive tried looking it up but i cant find anything so here i am. hope someone can help me. if you need pictures i can send them. actually i will just post them right now.

    @nwrW what you have there is not actually a N64 console. It is an add on for it called the N64 DD. You still need a N64 console to run that add on, and even then, games for it are very expensive, as is the N64 DD itself. Simply put, that is not an N64 console, and you need an actual N64 to run that add on.

    my grandpa got me a game for it but its coming later today. and okay. i have an english n64. will this work on that. and how do i plug it in

    So you will see on the bottom of your english N64, a removable cover that covers up a port. Remove the cover and plug the N64 DD in the bottom of the actual N64 console.

    i think i got it to work. im ging to plug in the english n64 right now.

    Good to hear you managed to get the N64DD working. You are quite lucky to get that from your Grandfather. The N64DD is kind of rare. It was only sold via mail order in Japan and to be honest it wasn't very popular which has added to its rarity. It's not impossible to find them on Yahoo Auctions Japan from time to time but they don't come up too often.
