I found more video game magazines in my loft.
Some date back to the original PS1. some official
    xbox 360.

Both official mags and third party.

Are these worth any value or should I just bin them?
Can post a more thorough list if needed

Well obviously the older the more value usually... I would say your 360 mags don't mean jack shit, but PS1 and before should be worth a bit more.

I would think old Nintendo Powers are the most valuable.

Ah, to be young! I wouldn't class those as old!!

Everything has a value to someone. With modern magazines like those, though, I'd say you're unlikely to get much cash for them - especially if you're thinking of selling online, as shipping is expensive.

If you want rid of them and would rather they found a good home, offer them for free and see if you get a taker.

Very true. I hear too many stories of people just dumping loads of game mags, kinda depressing. Definitely offer em up on the Free Stuff thread! :)

Also, I love official PS1 Mags when they had those Memory Card stickers in em'. So those would have more value to someone like me!

Hey, I'm 21 and 'some date back to the original PS1' made me smile, too :p

A magazine on its own has usually little value, there are some particular issues that can fetch up to 30-60 Euro, depending on their condition. These are exeptions though, like an issue of a mag that was released in 1981 and got cancelled after only two issues (Tele Action: http://www.kultboy.com/Tele-Action-Zeitschrift/70/ ).
The oldest magazines I happen to own are from 1988 (ASM) and while it's a cult mag and the condition is great, some people still rather throw them away than bother selling them. Complete years go for 15-50 Euro, depending on the condition and what year it is (1986-1991 are the most sought after because of a different writer staff, 1992-1995 are garbage IMO and go for 5-10/year).

The German Club Nintendo issues from 1989 & 1990 can also fetch quite a bit of money (6 issues (1 year) may go for about 100 Euro) because they are so rare. Don't know about the value of USA's Nintendo Power though.

Regular mags from the PS1 era and up are actually really nice to make a camp fire. But that's all they're good for, at least for the next 10+ years, though I doubt they will ever be as sought after as the mags from the early 2D age when there was no other news coverage available.
It always depends on the magazine itself (is there a cult following, like Retro Gamer, Nintendo Power, Sega Magazine? Or is it just another allrounder like EGM?). Nobody will ever care about issues of any Xbox 360 magazine, especially not if it comes w/out disc or the disc isn't sealed anymore. But if the mag has a cult following it (for instance: Video Games in Germany), the condition is pretty nice (i.e. the first Video Games issues came with stickers, some MAN!ACs came with extras like stickers for the PS1 console, posters) and you're selling complete years, then someone will buy them and maybe even for a considerable amount. Keep in mind though that the potential amount of buyers decreases massively at mags sold after 1997, or at least that's the case here on the German market.

Almost nobody cares about magazines from 1998-2005 or so, and for 2005-2011 there's hardly a demand+supply situation at all.
There are very little exeptions, like Sega magazines or EDGE, Retro Gamer, stuff like that. Retro Gamer is in fact one of the most expensive magazines if you try to buy used issues.

They wouldn't be much use to you if I had them cos they're of the PAL format. The disks went years ago though. Sold them to somebody who bought a big stack of xbox ones off me.

I had like 20 of the first issues of the Official Playstation Magazine. Demo discs too. I think I threw all the magazines away, but I might have a few of the demo discs still.
