Old Xbox 360 RROD fixed- not displaying picture?

    Today I have attempted 2 RROD fixes on old style (non hdmi slot) consoles.

    One worked for an hour then Red ringed again (going to re attempt the fix again using bolts rather than the silly screws with X clamps).

    However the other one I fixed has been working for a little while - just been playing DVDs to test it. Only one problem is that it only displays picture and sound through the red, yellow and white AV cable. If you use the component AV cable you get sound but no picture! It's nothing to do with settings as far as I'm aware and I have obviously made sure the switch is set to HD on the AV cable.

    Has anyone encountered this or heard of it?

    Weird problem that it works with a cable and not with another.Maybe the component cable is worn?

    No can't be that as it works ok with other Xbox 360.

    Its really annoying :-(
