Yeah. I wonder why he felt the need to post almost 3 videos per day!

I was always impressed by how many videos he produced in so little time. It must have taken a hell lot of time and I figure gaming plus 800 youtube videos in 9 months (that's about 3 videos a day!) is a bit much of a hobby for a working family father. All in all I'd agree with Yakumo and then again we don't know. Maybe the wife was looking for an excuse, maybe he devoted too much time to his game shed or whatever that small room is.

Though I have to admit this video (and the reaction videos) made me wonder what a need for self-manifestation and accordingly exhibitionism these people must have. He lost "the two things that were most important" to him and all he does is filming himself, obviously close to tears, confessing how bad he has been? Followed by various other guys who sit in front of their shelves and instantly start to talk like "what a brilliant guy Luke was" yet they didn't know shit about him or his attitude towards his family.

Weird stuff. Maybe I'm not involved enough into that web 2.0 thing but this grade of internet socialization beats me!

I agree I found it odd he also posted a final video pouring himself out. I swear these days things are becoming less human and more electronic.

He looked after his kid. You can see his child in a few videos playing the arcade machines he had and having a gay old time.

Just because you see his son playing games doesn't necessarily mean he takes care of him. That's like saying, I don't need to read, talk, teach, or play with my kid because I take "care" of him by putting him in front of a TV every day.

Still i liked his videos, because they were from the real thing not someone that just played a game on some sort emulator, heh but this final video is kinda fishy [altough if you check his other videos you will see that he has been kicked out of his little room].

He seems to be making new videos now. He hasn't said anything about the wife and kid situation though i think.

This sort of stuff is true, and sucks to know about a person. However, we can't judge too much because we won't and never will know the entire story because we are not him.

    Anyways.
He has definitely figured at least something out.

And him going through whatever we believe he went through (even I, who consider myself a very good *internet* friend of his, can't even talk to the guy directly anymore) helped me work on my own life. I wasn't ruining relationships with people with my hobby/ies, but was fucking myself over. I lost my job slightly after I had figured this out (as in, the money-spending part) which is convenient AND dissapointing at the same time.

I had to box up half my room so I wouldn't look at it.

And now I've decided to only make YT vids for pseudo-important things like repairs and other valuable info... y'know, because I love getting messages from youtube users about really simple shit. Fuuuuuuuu...

Above all, we shouldn't idolize people. Because they are people, just like us. I made a vid the other day after a long hiatus and got way too many messages from people who were WAY too excited that I was "back"... and that makes me want to run away and keep running forever.
