I know that. Well now that you've reminded me I'm going to spend $100+ for a number.

lol... exactly ^ most of the people are collectors here, so can understand that it will become very collectable (since there will not be another E3 2005 ;) as well as the limited avalibility)

That's like saying you shouldn't pay more than $150 for a blue Kasumi Xbox or a white Panzer Dragoon Saga Xbox. ;)

    *shrugs*

For some, it's not worth it. After all, all the Xboxes play the same games. Same for the E3 2005 faceplates. It's not going to change what your 360 plays. But since only 5000 exist, they are going to command a higher price by virtue of their rarity.

And as for the Zelda cart, that's something that will certainly not be reproduced in the future. Putting a video on a cart isn't exactly the best use of space, especially when you're giving it away. While I don't have hard numbers, I did hear that the Zelda DS carts were limited to 1000 pieces. Can anyone confirm that?

But I'm willing to put money on it that there will be a face plate that it almost identical to the E3 one. There isn't going to be an xbox that is identical to the panzer dragoon one (although there was a white one in the UK right?). Whatever my idea is flawed, but I'd rather buy 4 brand new games than a faceplate that will most likely sit in a box.

There was a pure white Xbox (same as PDS without the graphic), a mass produced Blue Halo 2 Xbox in Canada (same as the Kasumi Xbox with a different logo on the front), a mass produced transparent Green Xbox in the U.K. (same as the Halo Xbox made in the U.S., again with a different logo), the Crystal Xbox (which was nearly idential to the limited Hello Kitty Xbox save for the top graphic) and of course the limited edition Smoke coloured launch Xbox in Japan which didn't have a corresponding normal version but then again it never commanded collector prices. :)

When it comes to rare items, we all have to judge our own value, but there is certainly nothing wrong with saying "I'd rather have games because XXX simply isn't worth it to me." Personally, I'd never drop a grand on a PDS Xbox or a Sonic Dreamcast. I think it's a foolish waste of money. For others though, it makes them happy so more power to em!
