Ok, kinda hard to explain, but my Backslash key shows a different character for me, and it really gets annoying seeing it EVERYWHERE! It all started around when I installed the program Microsoft App Locale which allows you to use Installers of different languages. I did this so I could use a japanese installer to install RPG Maker and Some Japanese Game. And after that my backslash now shows little like Y's with two lines slashed through it. (Ahh, I just searched and it appears that its the Japanese Yen sign, ¥) Makes sense since I had to install Japanese programs, but how the hell do I get rid of it? I already unisntalled Microsoft App Locale and RPG Maker. Can anyone help me? (BTW, this sign only shows up when I use the backlash on my actual computer, but not on forums like this I guess \\\) :crying:
Assuming you are running Windows 2000, XP or Vista. Click settings, Go to Regional settings, click advanced (or administrative, then system locale on Vista), then select the coutnry you are in for Non Unicode programs. Whilst you are there you might as will make sure your regional settings are correct in all the other tabs, when you have finished click OK then your computer will reboot and the problem should go away.
Ahh, thankyou so much for the fast reply. Everything was in English (United States) except the Non-Unicode program tab, which was Japanese. Thanks a ton man, Makin' me feel stupid and all!
