I'm posting this just to save from trawling through the other thread. Open Xbox Live Website: http://openxbl.piecase.com If the above link does not work, the website must still be on the old domain http://openxbl.organiccrap.com At some point it will switch, as I own piecase.com, and have full control over the DNS. It's also not going to be flagged by ISP's and email providers as a potential threat. Feel free to create an account, create pages and post any information or give any ideas you may have. Server accounts are available for anyone who wants one for uploading files that may be too "risky" for the main website. You will get your own web space (under openxbl.piecase.com), FTP access and an internal email account. EDIT: I have now added openxbl.piecase.com to the server. Both addresses will work, still connecting to the same database, but I won't be updating the IP's for the organiccrap.com DNS when my dynamic IP changes again. Hopefully that won't be for a while, but if I reboot the server or have any power issues, I am guaranteed a new IP address and a long wait to get the DNS updated again. I may rent a VPS again so I don't have any problems, then again I may look at co-location for my own hardware. Can get a lot of CPU power in a 1U rack nowadays, and the co-lo costs are not that bad.
Seemingly harder to find than they used to be, and using my own I have no limits on entries like the free dynamic services.
The site should come up shortly. There was some incorrect IP addresses in the DNS, everything should be up once the changes have propagated. I can access it through TOR (I use my server as my DNS, so changes for me are instant), so all should be well
posted your topic on TIZ for some of the people who were asking about an xbox live alternative for Original Xbox. some people said they would be interested in helping such a project
I've not been too great over the last few weeks. Been having back problems, not been able to do much of anything if I'm sitting still. I'm wanting to get the kernel source into an IDE so I can have that help with tracing functions. The wiki is still working on the organiccrap domain, but I've had a few electrical issues, and I keep getting new IP addresses every time the modem resets. Things will be sorted at some point soon
