Ok guys, big recent purchase for me. Optoma just released the new GT1080Darbee which is an updated model to the older GT1080. I never had a projector before, was somewhat skeptical, but took a leap of faith. All I can say is WOW! Expensive, but has proved to be worth every penny. Darbee mode is not really much use for legacy consoles, but it is very noticeable and apparent when playing on modern consoles. Details and textures really pop. The input latency on this thing is very low, I don't notice any lag even with the framemeister lag added to my setup. I think the image quality is just as good, if not better than my 4K tv I recently bought. I watch a lot of Blu Ray as well and the performance is phenomenal. The only downside, projector speakers are never very impressive. A soundbar or surround sound system should be utilized for ful effect. I haven't even got a screen yet, and have been projecting onto my textured wall in my bedroom. Despite that, I was blown away with the image quality and performance. Five stars, I highly recommend everyone to give this a look. I will update this post later with pictures. I'm at work right now. I'll give you guys some Switch, PS4, some older consoles, and a few Blu Ray pics to show you what I'm talking about. If anyone else bought one I'd love to hear your opinions thus far.
