After a month or two of as good as daily reloads of the Retrogate shop, the ED64 was finally available. Even though I'm moving in two weeks, I ordered one, as I didn't want to miss out this time, and there's no telling when there will be new stock once these run out. For practical reasons, I'm wondering what delivery time I should expect? I live in Sweden, and I placed my order yesterday, October the 24:th. If it makes any difference, I ordered an ED64 without CIC, shell or USB. Thanks in advance!
Oh, that was a quick answer So, basically it could be anything between 10 to 50 days then, which leads me to a supplementary question: is that uncertainty in time due to the postal services, or is it that you don't assemble the ED:s before you get the orders, or something like that?
usually i ships in 1-4 days, if i not overloaded. 10-50 days is a post service work time. probably customs supervision is a slowdown reason. but 50 days is a pretty rare case and usually huge delays appears for australia and south america
Thanks for your answers! I'll just hope for a swift delivery then. It would make things so much easier if it arrived within those two weeks before I move, as the swedish postal services won't forward parcels to a new address, only regular letters.
On retrogate, scroll down to terms and conditions. From there you can find the Ukraine tracker. When it leaves there you can use the same tracking number on your local postal service.
Ah, then there's some hope for me too. Got a mail notice that my ED64 was sent the 25:th, 14 days before the mail forwarding kicks in http://www.ukrposhta.com/www/upost_en.nsf/search_post?openpage There you go.
If you are in the USA, the tracking number should atleast let you know when it is in the country. At that point it shouldn't be more than 3 or 4 days max. Update: I got my ED64 today. For reference I got my shipping notice on the 19th, and it is now the 28th.
All I get is this: Maybe by Christmas? EDIT: I just checked my local post office and they don't have it, but apparently it's in NC as of yesterday. Here's hoping I get it tomorrow. =P Don't think I'll be ordering from Retrogate when the TG-16 ED comes out...
It doesn't actually take that long. It's usually cheaper too. The only thing I don't like is that because it's registered mail you have to have someone to receive it.
My ED64 arrived this morning, took 7 days overall. I'll probably go pick it up at the post office tomorrow morning The wait until I've moved and I get to try it out is gonna kill me For future users reference, the transport from Ukraine to Sweden (Stockholm) took 6 of those days. The package was sent in the evening the 25:th, and arrived in the morning the 31:st.
you was lucky enough. usually post does not works so fast i notice that export almost always going fast, but import may take a lot of time. i sent the packages to many countries, and bought a lot from internet, so i receive a lot of stuff from various countries. i can see that package almost always going fast from sender to country bounds, but then may freez
Yeah, guess I was For me it was the other way around. 5 of those 6 days was handling in Ukraine (according to the tracker page, which of course can have update delays). Once the Swedish postal services had registered the package (could have been delayed aswell) it just took overnight before it was delivered to my local post office this morning.
FWIW, I received my ED64 on Wednesday. So, to break it down: Order date: October 10th Shipping Date: October 11th Arrival Date: November 2nd It was just the board only, so I popped in the CIC I took from some baseball game and mounted it to the cart (I just dyed it black using vinyl dye - I'm working on my own sticker in PS now), cut the slot using a dremel and it works like a dream. I was unaware of the need for the ED 64.v64 file needed, but that was a quick fix. Even though it took 3 weeks, it looks like US sites are just now getting the cart in, so I suppose this was the "faster" option. Great Job Krikzz!! Can't wait for your PCE ED!
