Original GameBoy that does not power-on

    I met someone that offered me a classic gray GameBoy that does not power-on. I tried using a working cartridge of mine but the power led and the display both stayed off. No sound came out either. The front cover of the device was significantly yellowed from the exposure to the sun. The transparent plastic in front of the display was missing. I do not know what the problem with this device is.
    I hope to be able to fix it and keep it for my own use.
    How much should I offer for that GameBoy?

    Maybe some $10...
    Have you already tried to plug-in an external plug (AC or DC adapter)? If the unit works, the power problem could be a battery leakage, or something like this.
