I have an original xbox that I picked up for $3 (no cords) that I wanted to try to mod to play emulators. I picked up 007 Nightfire $2.50, Splinter Cell $2.50, and Mech assault $1 but I don't have the action replay USB memory card adaptor or a memory card. If I purchase a memory card can someone put an exploited save file on the memory card for me If I ship it to them and give them money for the return shipping?
What HEX1GON said. I remember when I soft modded my first console I cut the cords to the controller port and wired them to a USB cable and used a USB Drive for the game files. I bought an actual Xbox to USB adapter after that. lol
I did the same as moontar. If you have a crappy wired controller that you don't need that is the way to go.
I think the biggest headache for me on xbox softmodding was finding a compatible usb drive to act as a memory card.... I tried a ton of thumbdrives of varying brand and sizes and *none* would work....ended up using a PSP to softmod the xbox.
you can also hotswap, use one of the xbox file system tools and transfer the saved game to the xbox hard drive via your pc (or do the whole softmod via hotswapping) if you cant find anyone locally to help.
I'm located in California and would be happy to put the appropriate files onto a memory card. The only set I've ever fully tested was for Splinter Cell as I use it practically weekly to do TSOP flashes.
Another possibility is to buy a kit with all the necessary. I bought this one month ago and it worked very well: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Xbox-XBMC-s...-help-Splinter-Cell-disc-boxed-/360653357268? It installs just the softmod with Evolution X and then you can use Biohazard to install NDURE and/or other Dashboards. Yes it's a UK seller but maybe you can find something similar on the USA.
Underground gamer. You easily can get a cheap usb stick, and a $6 cable and just transfer the exploit over using Xplorer360. http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox360-tools/Xplorer360.php
lol you aware you can plug some USB flash drive(something under 128MB, an 16 or 32MB SD card with an adapter for USB would be perfect for this) on the XBOX and have it formatted as XFAT ? Then you can plug it back to the PC and use something like partybuffalo to put the exploit save file on it. XBOX controller ports are standard USB 1.1 ports.
