    Hey guys,

I'm just starting to think about creating an arcade stick for use with an original Xbox, as well as eventually using the same method to make an arcade control panel for a cabinet. I'm a super rookie to this sort of thing, and I can solder (just barely) with some success (xbox to usb male, xbox to usb female adapters, etc), but I can't for the life of me figure out how to solder arcade buttons to an Xbox pad.

I found the following diagram and I plan on using it, as I'm attempting this on a duke controller that I just had lying around, kind of a fucked up case so I'm not too worried if I mess up the insides:

So how exactly would I go about doing this? I have NO idea where to even start wiring to, so it would be greatly appreciated if I could get some form of assistance.

^DC16 pointed you at a good turorial, it is pretty easy and straightforward really, if you can solder you should be able to pull that off. I did this myself to use Arcade games on a modded xbox.

Do you already have the stick or plans for the stick? My advice to you is start by the stick instead of the pad hack.

You have a few questions to ask yourself regarding the stick.

    -What hardware to use?
    -How many buttons?
-Do you want to use it on more things than the Xbox? ( If so a project box adapter stick might be favored )
