Original Xbox Ultimate Boot cd 4.0

Looking for the Ultimate Boot cd 4.0 file for the original xbox. Or atleast the Exuser unleashx boot cd, want to give that a try for easily installing a dashboard without FTPing into the xbox.. Hoping someone has this file, I cant seem to find a live link anymore. Thanks!

Or if anyone knows a trick to easily drop the dash files on a xbox with a modchip installed without using FTP I would be interested in knowing that as well.

I managed to snag The Installer deluxe img the other day and it worked great.
I personally really like UnleashX as a main dash, I had a Skin I wanted to use for this particular mod so It was required.

I prefer UnleashX, XBMC feels more restrictive than the stock dash, main reason is it's geared towards media centres (hence the name)..

Anyone know of a stock theme for UnleashX or a good editor?? The stock blue theme is pretty close but I want a green one with all the extra stuff hidden under settings or something..

Pff, XBMC as a dash gives you all the power the xbox has. Watch youtube, stream porn, watch hd movies, set up a nice playlist for the party, launch games and emulators with awesome presentation (covers, screenshots), skins are on a whole different level, for some reason you need to revive the horrible frankenstein aka unleashx? no problem, you have it right there a button's press away. xbmc rules, especially with that new 360 skin

 

And how about 480i only games on xbox 1.6 with component cable? I mean games like "Jet Set Radio/Panzer Dragon Orta" and others.

 

I won't debate what's better than what. If skins is all you want to fiddle with XBMC, but it is no where as flexible than UnleashX.

 

The thing about XBMC that I dislike how long it takes to start up. Haven't really used UX (been a while - I believe it just felt awkward in some way so I removed it). All I'd need is a really minimal launcher (no ftp, no nested dynamic menus - just a fixed list you can scroll up/down and launch an xbe), but I haven't seen one yet. (>4 titles are a must though, so no MenuX.)

So no more need for UB4? Because I believe I still have that kicking around somewhere.

True. It has a very tiny menu area though, and iirc it's rather slow scrolling too. If only its source code was available...

I actually hacked something together a few weeks ago (OpenXDK-/SDL-based), works fine on PC for now, just haven't gotten around to moving it to the Xbox yet.

 

I think you can change that in the theme? I haven't looked into it that much. I'm rather happy with UnleashX, so I never gave it much thought.

 

Still the last version of EvoX can handle 480i problematic games on 1.6, and other dashboards not.
